Yakhyokhuja (Yakhyo) Valikhujaev is an incoming Ph.D. student at InfoLab, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), starting in Fall 2026. His research interests include large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vision-language models, multimodal AI, and reliable AI systems.
He has over six years of industry and research experience in AI/ML, with a focus on building practical machine learning systems for real-world applications. His previous work spans LLM adaptation, retrieval-augmented generation, multimodal learning, computer vision, generative AI, and efficient model optimization.
He received his M.S. in Computer Engineering from Gachon University and his B.S. in Computer Engineering from Tashkent University of Information Technologies. His broader interests include trustworthy AI, scalable AI systems, multimodal understanding, and efficient deployment of machine learning models in real-world environments.
