Dr. Farman Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied AI at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. He received his B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2011, an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Gyeongsang National University, South Korea, in 2015, and a Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Inha University, South Korea, in 2018. Following his Ph.D., he worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the UWB Wireless Communications Research Center from September 2018 to August 2019. His current research interests include IoT, healthcare monitoring systems, sentiment analysis, social network analysis, medical informatics, machine learning and AI, recommendation systems, data science, and applied fuzzy logic. He has registered over four patents and published more than 150 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He has been recognized with several awards, including the Outstanding Research Award (Excellence in Journal Publications, 2017) and the President’s Choice for the Best Researcher Award during his graduate program at Inha University. From 2021 to 2024, each year he was listed among the “Top 2% Scientists in the World” by Stanford University in recognition of his career achievements.
