InfoLab has been awarded a research grant from the Institute of Information and Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation (IITP) to develop Policy-Adaptive AI Privacy systems, running through December 2027.

As AI systems become more deeply integrated into critical infrastructure, healthcare, and personal services, ensuring that they respect user privacy while remaining useful is one of the central challenges of our field.

This project develops AI frameworks that automatically adapt their privacy guarantees in response to changing policy contexts, regulatory requirements, and user preferences.

Research goals:

  • Formal frameworks for policy-adaptive differential privacy
  • Real-time privacy budget allocation in federated and distributed learning settings
  • Evaluation against GDPR and Korean PIPA regulatory frameworks

We thank IITP for their continued support of fundamental AI safety research.
